Google heeft de 3D wereld 'Lively' in Beta-versie gelanceerd. Lively zou een eenvoudig systeem zijn waarmee gebruikers een eigen kamer kunnen inrichten en vrienden uitnodigen. Het creeren en inrichten van de kamer gaat inderdaad relatief eenvoudig en er hoeven geen enorme bestanden te worden gedownload om dit te kunnen. Maar zodra je het systeem hebt draaien is het wel een aanslag op het geheugen van je computer. De mijne moest er zelfs van hijgen en na een poging om het iFrame in mijn eigen site te plaatsen vlogen de errormeldingen me om de oren en is mijn pc vastgelopen. Hoe Google met deze 3D-wereld in de toekomst geld wil verdienen is meteen duidelijk na het lezen van de sitevoorwaarden: http://www.lively.com/html/TOS.html Hier staat in een aantal artikelen gemeld dat Google je kamer mag volplempen met advertenties.
